Young children are frequently ill and in most cases your child’s illness will not mean you need to miss a session. However in the case of highly contagious childhood illnesses such as Chicken Pox, diarrhoea/vomiting or Hand Foot and Mouth we kindly ask that you keep your child at home for the recommended duration. If your child has a fever, we also ask that you keep your child at home until they have been fever free (without needing calpol) for 24 hours, even if the fever is unexplained. For children with rashes or those requiring antibiotics, please confirm with your doctor when they are no longer contagious.
If your child is unwell and you do need to reschedule, please give as much notice as you can so that we can reschedule the missed session in a timely fashion. Of course, we understand that sometimes it is not possible to give much notice at all. In these case we will try our best to reschedule promptly. In the case that this is not possible, unfortunately you will still be liable for the cost of the session but I can offer a telephone consultation or video session at a different time instead.
